    CPR and the Lost Towns of the Pembina Hills - Partnerships with Museums 2021 (1880)

    This monograph is intended to support the research of the Darlingford School Museum. describing short histories of some of the first communities in the district and their demise at the arrival of the railroad. It was published by the Pembina Manitou Archive and the Boundary Trail National Heritage Region as part of the Partnerships with Museums 2021 project.

      Hasselfield Log House - Archibald Commentary

      A commentary outlining the history of the Hasselfield Log House probably prepared for the summer staff at the Archibald Historical Museum.

        Hasselfield Log House - Corroberation 1974

        A letter of corroberation written by a member of the Hasselfield family confirming that the log house known now as Hazel Cottage is in fact the building in which Nellie McClung boarded when she came to teach at Hazel School in 1890.

                Manitou's CPR Log House (1884)

                This article tells the story of Manitou's CPR Log Cabin, built in 1884 to house the railway workers then building the line west to LaRiviere. Ths article also tells of some of the posple who lived in the Log Cabin aver the past century, and of the Cabin's transition to become the Pembina Manitou  Log Cabin Tourism Centre.
